Ten Word Movie Reviews: The Forbidden Kingdom
I'm reintroducing a favorite segment of mine: Ten Word (or less) Movie Reviews.
The Jackie Chan and Jet Li martial arts vehicle The Forbidden Kingdom gets the first treatment with a round of family reviews.
From me:
"Karate Kid goes fantastical and contracts some epic yellow fever."
The father unit:
"Imagine Wizard of Oz with Jet Li and Jackie Chan."
And the maternal unit:
"It was ok. It wasn't the best."
Go ahead and add your own ten word (or less) movie review of The Forbidden Kingdom in the comments section. Also, head over to the Large Association of Movie Blogs for more sweaty movie review action.

Haha... yellow fever?
hehe your mom's reviews always make me chuckle!
Have not seen this movie otherwise I would add my own.
"Haven't seen it. Can't say that I really want to."
;)
But any Karate Kid reference is aces in my book.
I like to say things like "aces" or "tops" because they're so over-the-top lame. You're the tops, Matt.
joen5 - Did you see my nifty yellow fever link? The second definition explains everything.
Sarah - my mom is a fount of movie insight.
Fletch - thanks for sticking to the ten word limit. I'll allow the use of contractions -- this time.
"Jackie and Jet Li finally battle. There's a white kid."
I don't mean to sound disparaging, but I did not see that coming from the trailer. Wow. Did a review of my own, but it's meanwhile languishing. When I post it, I'll post a link.

I think this movie is a testament, that all blockbusters should strive for: having the perfect balance of action, drama, and comedy. From the awesomely choreographed fight sequences to the laugh-out-loud comedic moments, it truly has something for everyone.
